Murex Senior Consultant Capital Markets – Finance/Accounting/PL

Within a Murex Finance/Accounting project – early phase or throughout an implementation

Analyzing complex business processes and identifying optimization potential
Developing operational strategies and concepts to optimally position business models for the long term, increase revenue and efficiently design the cost base
Advising on Murex best practices in Balance sheet management, Accounting, P&L processes, position management and financial reporting, aligned to latest accounting and prudential standards
Lead early phase studies, as well as implementation streams
Defining and/or steering an implementation

Responsibilities beyond a project

Monitoring the market and identifying new trends as well as developing appropriate solutions
Contribute to business development efforts and recruitment to build out the team

At least 4 years of professional experience as a capital markets consultant
A relevant bachelor’s degree in e.g. finance, accounting or engineering. A graduate degree is required, CPA is a plus
Passion for financial markets, finance and accounting transformation with a very good understanding of capital market products, especially derivatives
Expertise in accounting / hedge accounting regulations, and cross-regulatory impacts of prudential regulations
Ability to define P&L processes across the products and enterprise lifecycle, as well as analyzing complex P&L situations
Proven experience and understanding of the Murex platform, and the Accounting module, with the ability to drive key design choices
Familiarity with RDBMS (Sybase, Oracle), Python, R
Experience with Project/Program management, both at operational and stakeholder levels
Strong analytical skills required -quantitative analysis ability is required
An independent and proactive work style and team spirit
Travel may be required
A valid work visa for the United States
