Senior Consultant (m/f/d) Treasury/ Risk /Asset Liability Management (ALM)

As a Senior Consultant (m/f/d) in Treasury/ Risk/ ALM, you will work together with various financial institutions in Switzerland on different mandates. You will be integrated into an experienced team and deliver client projects in the following areas:
  • Asset and Liability Management: focuses on the management of financial resources such as regulatory capital, liquidity and balance sheet capacity
  • Capital Management: Tasks range from planning and forecasting liquidity to financing activities, such as external bond funding or loans
  • Money Market: Managing liquidity in the needed currency to meet all liabilities when due, and to fund businesses without disruption in both normal and emergency situations
  • Investments: investments in interest-bearing securities and other financial investments including opportunities to create additional yields and to optimize the bank’s interest rate risks. 

Job responsibilities could include any aspects of the following:
  • Analysing bank-wide risk exposures including trends and root causes in asset & liability management and risk-reward monitoring & steering capabilities
  • Undertaking validation of risk models that ensure they are robust and fit for purpose, participating in product approval processes, conducting risk assessments and building requirements specifications
  • Supporting daily operations in terms of all Treasury activities (e.g. overall liquidity and balance sheet monitoring)
  • Carrying out regulatory analysis for stakeholders in preparation for the implementation or revision of key regulatory frameworks and strategic management decisions
  • Defining leaner processes and organizational setups for projects related to investment product execution, balance-sheet and liquidity management, risk model validation including stress testing

Your profile

  • Bachelor’s or Master's degree from university in Economics or Business or Engineering/Sciences or similar
  • Possess a good understanding of a wealth manager’s business model and a bank’s balance sheet
  • Capability to build strong relationships with a range of stakeholders as well as working collaboratively with them to achieve the goals of the bank
  • Strong attention to detail with a logical and methodical approach to problem solving
  • Positive attitude, team working and confident communication skills that empower you and your colleagues to deliver excellence 
  • It would be a strong advantage to demonstrate previous consulting experience
