Business Analyst (m/f/d) CRR / Solvency II – Product Management – Regulatory Reporting – Asset Management

Your responsibilities

  • Conduct in-depth regulatory analyses to identify reporting trends and industry best practices within the asset management space.
  • Become the subject matter expert for CRR / Solvency II and gather insights to inform product development decisions.
  • Define and prioritize product features, functionalities, and enhancements based on market demands, business objectives, and technical feasibility.
  • Develop detailed product requirements, user stories, and specifications that guide the software development and engineering teams in delivering high-quality products.
  • Work closely with the development team throughout the product development lifecycle to support on-time and on-budget delivery of regulatory reporting solutions.
  • Conduct user acceptance testing (UAT) and gather feedback from clients to validate product performance and functionality.
  • Drive product documentation and training materials for sales and support teams.
  • Stay abreast of industry trends, regulatory changes, and competitive offerings, and use this knowledge to maintain the product's competitive edge.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including sales, marketing, and customer support, to ensure successful product positioning and customer satisfaction.

Your profile

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Business Administration, Finance, or a related field. A master's degree is a plus.
  • Proven relevant experience – a minimum of 2-3 years – as a Business Analyst, Product Business Analyst or adjacent roles, with a focus on regulatory reporting solutions within the asset management industry.
  • In-depth understanding of global regulatory frameworks and reporting requirements relevant to asset management firms with a focus on European legislation, such as CRR / Solvency II (e.g. Solvency Capital Ratio, Tripartite Template, Credit Risk Standard Approach). 
  • Proficient in articulating clear and detailed business requirements in written form, ensuring a solid foundation for the development team.
  • Expertise in BPMN 2.0, capable of creating visually engaging diagrams that accurately represent complex business processes and interactions.
  • Skilled in utilizing graphical modeling techniques to visualize requirements, enhancing communication and understanding across stakeholders and teams.
  • A collaborative and team-oriented mindset, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Knowledge of data governance, data privacy, and information security principles related to regulatory reporting solutions.
  • Fluency in English, both spoken and written; German is a plus.
  • Knowledge of financial instruments from equities, fixed income, FX and credit instruments are a plus
