Team Lead (m/f/d) Cloud Operations & System Administration

Your responsibilities

You will take responsibility for managing and prioritizing our diverse infrastructure projects and will be part of our recent realignment to a pure cloud operation.
Based on the components of our public cloud hosting providers and our own CapmatiX solution, you will provide a platform for smooth software development and releases, as well as a reliable and scalable productive environment for our customers that is designed for the best possible performance, maximum stability, and security.
In addition, you will support, shape, and drive the development of the current Cloud Operations & System Administration team enabling them to scale up as required. Due to the close connection with product development, the hosting-related needs will also become a strategic part of our software roadmap. 
As central point of contact, you will drive the ongoing transformation within the cloud, manage collaboration with other teams, monitor the required quality standards and develop new processes where necessary.
  • Responsibility for the smooth, trouble-free and and high-performance running of our cloud operations
  • Disciplinary leadership of the Cloud Operations & System Administration team
  • Providing solution-oriented, professional, and technical support (L1 / L2) for our banking customers
  • Analysis and resolution of incoming product-specific customer enquiries about client applications and coordination of service review meetings (incl. SLA / KPIs)
  • You are the central point of contact for customers and act as interface to internal departments for finding solutions quickly
  • Agile project management according to Scrum / Kanban
  • Participation in ISO 27001 IT documentation and development of security processes
  • Planning and coordination of IT projects as well as reporting
  • Participation in IT-related projects as project manager and/or project participant
  • Management of cross-team infrastructure projects
  • Participation in international project meetings
  • Capacity and resource planning for employees and conducting employee appraisals
  • Supporting the team in the further development of technical excellence

Your profile

  • A successfully completed degree in the field of computer sciences, natural sciences or economics, or a similar professional qualification
  • Extensive experience in project work, a very good understanding of project workflows and processes as well as experience in dealing with event-driven workflows, KPIs and OKRs
  • Experience in as well as the ability and willingness to work hands-on on (agile) IT projects in the banking industry
  • Experience in the technical and disciplinary management of a team
  • Familiarity with the regulatory requirements (GDPR, MaRisk AT 9, BAIT, EBA) for IT outsourcing as well as other relevant standards, certifications or governance frameworks (ISO 27001, ISAE 3402, ITIL, NIST, COBIT, IDW PS 951)
  • Knowledge in the fields of Azure Cloud Architecture, DevOps and SecOps is a plus
  • Understanding the mechanism complex financial instruments as well as interest in capital markets and products
  • Very good time management skills and a high awareness of deadlines and criticality
  • High level of abstraction as well as good analytical and conceptual thinking skills
  • Strong communication skills in dealing with representatives from different departments and management levels and in communicating complex issues
  • Very good spoken and written German and English language skills
  • And last but not least: a good portion of humor
