LPA class trip: digital fun
Class trips have always been a highlight. Even more so when we invite our 180 employees to the “LPA class trip” – our motto for a highly unusual and successful combination of staff training, event and all-around fun.
The trip got off to a bright and early start at 8 a.m. on Friday, June 9th. Starting point was Hafen 2 in Offenbach, right on the banks of the beautiful river Main. After a hearty breakfast, three LPA speakers offered a glimpse into the digital future as well as discussing cases and the financial markets as a whole: Fabian Westerheide outlined a scenario concerning the future implications of Artificial Intelligence. Philipp Kaiser chronicled the digitisation of a bank, using the Helaba bank as an example. And last but certainly not least, Dr. Dirk Hollander presented the results of the European Banking Study, conducted by the consulting company zeb.
As relevant and indispensable digitisation is (not only) in the world of banking – it can only work if rooted firmly in the analogue world. Hence, in the afternoon LPA invited its employees to try their hands at beach volleyball, football, dragon-boat racing and boxing. After a well-deserved BBQ-meal, a live concert and an open-air movie rounded out the “LPA class trip”.
